In 1983, Kenny Rogers released ‘Eyes That See in the Dark’, an album that he made with the help of Barry Gibb, one of the Bee Gees. Initially Rogers was only hoping for Gibb to help with one or two tracks, but Barry was intent on working on the whole album together.

The most well-known result of this collaboration was the single ‘Islands in the Stream’ – a duet with Dolly Parton that was a massive hit, and remains one of the most popular songs of both artists.
