Kenny Rogers wasn’t always a big country music star. In fact, he was into a completely different genre before that – jazz! Kenny played bass for a band named the Bobby Doyle Trio, but unfortunately, they didn’t do so well.
As they were making no money and barely getting any bookings, they finally decided to call it a day in 1965. And it’s lucky they did. Otherwise, Kenny may not have been one of the biggest country stars in the world today!
