There was a reason the vase had been tucked away in the attic rather than being proudly displayed in the woman’s home. Her grandparents hadn’t loved the design of the object, so they’d kept it somewhere they wouldn’t have to look at it. It turns out they weren’t the only ones unimpressed by it. The French woman was equally put off by the artifact, stating that she didn’t like it at all. The one saving grace was that it appeared to have some history behind it, and that changed everything.
