[post_page_title]Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – Should’ve raided a better SFX department[/post_page_title]
Somehow, Daniel Craig’s attempts at putting on an American accent weren’t the single worst thing about 2001’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. No, that particular dubious honor is reserved for every time there was anything computer-generated on the screen.
Don’t get us wrong – it was a star-making role for Angelina Jolie. But every time she faced off against non-human enemies, like the guardian statues seen here, we almost cringed right out of our seats. They’re so fake that they look like a bad hologram, and the green screen work is so obvious that we feel secondhand embarrassment for everyone involved.
