[post_page_title]The Fellowship of the Ring – The best and the worst[/post_page_title]
The Lord of the Rings trilogy won all the Oscars, and is still beloved today – and with good reason. It was an achievements in visual storytelling that stands up to this day. In fact, Gollum – both the CGI used to create him and Andy Serkis’ performance – are incredible.
So, considering these films had some of the best CGI, it’s a little sad they also had some of the worst. Case in point, this scene from The Fellowship of the Ring, with the gang escaping the Mines of Moria. It looks about as impressive as a Playstation 2 cutscene.
