Chance the Rapper, who is well known in the musical sphere for being, well, a rapper, has raised over $100,000 for the homeless shelters in his home town of Chicago. Due to the harsh winter conditions in the Windy City, the money went to get warm clothes and shelter for those who do not have their own. In addition to the financial donation, Chance hosted free open mike nights in Chicago for the teens of the city so as to keep them on the right side of the law and looking towards a brighter future.
