Denise Crosby was already well-known to TV audiences as a member of the Star Trek universe, but in ‘Lois & Clark’ she played more of a villain than we were used to seeing her portray. Dr. Gretchen Kelly was closely linked to Superman’s nemesis Lex Luthor, and she operated out of Metropolis, as a part of a secret lab. The intimidating scientist first appeared in 1994 but only lasted a few episodes before she was taken out for good.
