We meet Justine Bateman in unusual circumstances in the New Adventures of Superman. She arrives on Earth to retrieve Superman who she was married to at birth, as is Kryptonian tradition. After their home planet was destroyed, Zara learns that her husband is still alive on Earth and arrives in the hopes she can bring him home to their people. Although she has all the powers that Superman does, she is unable to convince him to stay, and he returns to Lois and Metropolis.
