Nicolette Sheridan is a British actress and model, known for her many roles in soap operas before she landed the part in Desperate Housewives. Despite her portrayal of a very popular character, Edie, who (literally) got away with murder, Sheridan left the show on its fifth season on bad terms, filing a lawsuit against Marc Cherry that included charges of assault and battery. She was married to actor Harry Hamlin.
