Leonard has been one of the original cast members since the airing of the pilot. Despite his occasional complaining about Sheldon’s eccentricities, he still shows superhuman levels of patience toward his best friend.
Though he is generally considered pretty nerdy, Leonard is actually quite savvy when it comes to women, at least when compared to his friends. His neighbor across the hall, Penny, captures Leonard’s heart early on, with the two finally marrying during the ninth season after years of on-off dating.
