People need water to survive, it’s just part of being human. Not everyone in the world has access to clean drinking water, and that was something Cameron was desperate to change. He worked closely with the Thirst Project, which aims to bring water to those underprivileged kids around the world who do not have it.
Considering it’s an essential for life, children shouldn’t have to drink dirty and potentially diseased water. The actor understood that as a public figure he had a responsibility to be a role model, and to be a person that so many kids could look up to. Through his efforts to bring drinking water to everyone, he was becoming the role model he was striving to be.
