It’s not enough that these poor female employees had to deal with flirty dads, they also had to deal with some very harsh measurement requirements. The issue of body image has been a burning topic for years, and it’s getting more and more media attention these days. Models are working, literally, their bums off just to be skinny and comply with what counts as beautiful.
So to think that in order to be accepted as a Disney princess you need to be a certain size and height, is simply mind blowing. A former employee who interviewed for the job recalls why she fell short: ‘I’ve always wanted to work at Disney and be a princess. But you need to be a size 10 and under 5ft 6ins.’
