Lucas McCain was nothing without his young son, Mark. Played by Johnny Crawford, who was only 12 when the show started airing, the child captivated viewers and critics alike. He proved to be so popular that Crawford was nominated for an Emmy Award when he was just 13, although the fame didn’t go to his head. After the series concluded, Connors commented on how much of a gentleman the young boy was. Apparently, he always showed great respect to the cast and crew from day one right to the end.
