Jase grew up around a father who was addicted to the bottle. Seeing how his father behaved as well as the strain that this activity put on the family led Jase to stay clean and sober up until the age of 30. This is perhaps better than a lot of us who start in high school or college and never really learn how to drink responsibly and in moderation, and considering the danger of his following suit, Jase probably made the right decision in waiting.
