You already know that the entirety of the movie was filmed in both Virginia and North Carolina. What you don’t know is that filming actually took place in the winter. The movie is set in the summer, and so that’s why Jennifer and Patrick are parading around in their summer clothes.
In reality, it was actually freezing cold. These actors are really talented, not to have let the temperature affect them. Just think about that scene in the lake – it must have been frigid.
