The success of Dirty Dancing was trying to be recreated many a time. CBS had created a Dirty Dancing television show that lasted 11 episodes, while in the UK, there was a reality television show that was, naturally, a dance competition.
The reality show aired from 2007 to 2008 and took place at the Mountain Lake Lodge. There were so many fans that wanted the film to somehow continue, that these spinoffs and associated shows were a form of necessity for the public.
