Eleniak filled the role of Shauni McClain, the main female character of the first two seasons, from 1989 to 1992. After the first two episodes of the third season, Eleniak left Baywatch due to backstage disagreements, allegedly because she did not like the direction the show was taking.
Throughout the years she made several appearances, mostly in TV movies but also in films such as Under Siege. She also started to participate in reality shows during the 2000s, most notably Celebrity Fit Club. Currently 49, Eleniak lives with her husband and daughter.
