When it comes to acceptance speeches, some celebrities like to try and have an impact on viewers. On top of thanking their loved ones, they want to show people that they could be in their position in a matter of years.
That’s what Reese Witherspoon did at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, although her uplifting comments appeared to be thinly-veiled jabs at Kim Kardashian. She said you don’t need a reality show to be successful, and that having a leaked intimate tape used to be something to be ashamed of.
