With only a decade between Phylicia Rashad and Sabrina Le Beauf, it’s amazing that the two actresses were able to portray a mother-daughter relationship so well in The Cosby Show. The sitcom focuses on a wealthy family living in New York during the mid-1980s.
Claire (Rashad) is the family’s matriarch and in real life, she is only ten years older than her TV daughter, Sondra (Le Beauf). While Lisa Bonet, who plays Denise, is 19 years younger than Rashad, we think the former is a bit more surprising.
