While 19 is not a completely unreasonable age to have a child, neither is 17 for that matter, we know that neither Lily Van der Woodsen nor Rufus Humphrey were teenagers when they had their oldest children, Serena and Dan.
It’s not hard to notice that Kelly Rutherford (Lily) and Matthew Settle (Rufus) both look a bit young to have grown children, and that’s probably because they are. Even with all the scandals and drama of Gossip Girl, teenage pregnancy wasn’t one of them.
