There are many times when actors are cast to play characters much younger than their natural age. Having a baby face isn’t always a bad thing after all. Sure, you might get asked your I.D. at every opportunity, but you can be acting all kinds of roles well into your adult years.
Perhaps that’s one of the ways Minka managed to land the role of a high schooler when she was still 26 years old. Amazingly, Merrilee was cast to play her mom, too, even though she is just ten years older than her on-screen daughter.
