While we understand that Xiomara Villanueva was only 16 when she had her daughter in Jane the Virgin, the actress who plays her, Andrea Navedo, is actually only seven years older than Gina Rodriguez, the actress who pays Jane.
They may look more like sisters and be far too close in age to be mother and daughter, but we certainly could not imagine anyone else playing Xiomara and Jane in this hilarious show.
