We wouldn’t change any of the Pretty Little Liars cast members, but we do wonder why Hollywood notoriously casts people in their twenties to play teenagers. Troian Bellisario was 25 when she began playing Spencer and Lucy Hale was 21 in the beginning days of Aria.
Of course their on-screen mothers look great for their ages because they are only 16 and 14 years older than their daughters. You read that correctly, the women who play Spencer and Aria’s PLL moms are not much older than they are.
