Thank goodness for stage makeup, otherwise you might have been able to notice that Yvonne De Carlo (Lily) is actually a year older than her on-screen father Al Lewis (Grandpa). The Munsters is a fantasy comedy that centers around a family of friendly monsters just trying to fit in.
Lily and her father are vampires, so that also helps hide their age gap because legend says they aren’t supposed to get older with time. Though both actors are deceased now, their legacy lives on in our hearts.
