Alison Lohman does seem to look about ten years younger than she really is, so maybe that’s why she was cast as Katy in Flicka. That being said, Tim McGraw, is only 12 years older than her, clearly not old enough to be father, though he plays her dad on-screen.
Despite the age difference, the two managed to make us believe their father-daughter portrayal in the film and we forget she was far too old to be playing a teenager and he’s far too young to be her dad.
