Nurse Friday is a “typical nurse” at the hospital, who engages with Shaun and the others in a direct, nonsense way. She only appeared on 2 or 3 episodes in the season. It is known, however, that the creators of The Good Doctor were criticized for their ignorance of the importance of nurses’ roles on their previous hit project, House, M.D. They seem to have taken this point to heart (and they apologized, as well), and the shots of Bonaventure hospital are usually filled with nurses doing their work (which is pivotal).
