The Cats movie wasn’t the first time actress Judi Dench got in touch with her feline side. The British star was actually cast as both Jennyanydots and Grizabella (characters in the stage and movie versions) in the original London production of the musical. However, Judi never got to perform in the show, as, 12 days before previews were scheduled to open, she tore her Achilles tendon. She got her second chance, though, starring as Old Deuteronomy in the movie.
