Elvis Presley served in the United States Army from 1958 through 1960. Upon enlisting, Presley was offered to be a part of the Special Services, but he turned down the offer due to wanting to serve in a fighting unit.
He even met his future wife, Priscilla, while he was stationed in western Germany. It was after his time in the military that Presley shot to fame as the King of Rock and Roll, later marrying Priscilla and welcoming Lisa Marie. Until this day, Elvis remains one of the biggest rock legends to have ever existed, with fans that are so hardcore, some of them even believe he’s still alive.
