The Swedish singer was the front woman and vocalist of the singing pop duo, Roxette back in the ’80s. Her other musical half was Per Gessle, who was in charge of guitar and vocals.
Their album from the late ’80s, Look Sharp! was extremely successful. The duo had some of the greatest top chart hits including ‘Listen to your Heart’ and ‘It Must Have Been Love.’ This fearsome twosome reunited in 2009 and went on a worldwide successful tour. Tragically, Marie passed away in late 2019 after a 17-year battle with cancer. She was only 61.
