Toni Basil is a singer-songwriter, actress, filmmaker, film director, choreographer and dancer, who is mostly known for her hit song ‘Mickey’ from 1982, in which she both performed and choreographed, although her music career began earlier in 1966.
In 2009, VH1 ranked Mickey as number 5 on its list of the 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders of the ‘80s. Her entire recording career consists only of two albums, ‘World Of Mouth’ in 1982, and ‘Shoppin’ from A to Z’.
