While flight attendants of today tend to wear fairly drab and professional looking uniforms, they used to be far more elaborate during the golden age of air travel.
Here, smiling flight attendants for the no-longer flying Pacifc Southwest Airlines look to be welcoming passengers (and the photographer) aboard. While this iconic era of air travel is certainly a thing of the past, there’s no reason why the major airlines that are still in business can’t bring back groovy uniforms like these ones.
