In January 2005, the show featured a rat smoothie challenge, and we mean that in the most literal sense. A blender full of rats was presented to the contestants and they had to make their own homemade smoothie. If you’re throwing up in your mouth right now, we don’t blame you. After the episode aired, NBC was sued by an Ohio man who said a rat smoothie made him run into walls and vomit. Why would he ever consider trying that at home?
