Some things are just that and we take them for granted, not in a bad way though, it’s just because they are such a natural part of our daily scenery that we never think about them. The fire escape is a good example of something that has been there forever, and besides its safety purpose and also some pop culture connection, we never really think about it too much. The fire escape was invented by Anna Connelly in 1887 who actually invented the fire escape bridge for people to escape to the rooftoop and then make their way to the neighbor building in case of fire.
