Areas with high humidity frequently lead to soggy snacks, sometimes within minutes of opening them. This sad fact of life doesn’t mean that you should try to dry out your chips in the microwave, however!
Not only will this burn the chips and give them a chemical aftertaste, but if you’re heating them in their original bag, the foil lining on the inside is sure to start sparking and potentially cause a fire to break out. If that isn’t bad enough, the plastic can also melt and release noxious fumes.
