[post_page_title]Old mugs[/post_page_title]
Some mugs that were made prior to the 60s were known to be glazed with certain materials that have the potential to give off radiation according to ‘Smithsonian.com’.
Some mugs even contain heavy metals or lead. So if you found an old mug in your grandmother’s cupboard or at a garage sale, you might not want to put it in the microwave. Better treasure it and use it for your weekend morning coffee, the one you take your time to make the real way (without a microwave involved).
