These teachers left a big impression on their students

How many of your teachers from school do you remember? It’s always the most boring or interesting ones that hold a place in your memories. They’re the people that you look back on years after you’ve graduated. While the former may not have done much for your education, the latter were probably a big help when it came to getting that passing grade.

After all, school isn’t exactly exciting. You’re not going to learn anything if you’re being talked at by some stuffy old man whose idea of teaching is simply reading out of the textbook. You need someone who wants you to have a good time when you’re at school. Someone who is, as your parents might say, “down with the kids.” With teaching still a major profession and many graduates looking for work in schools, there’s a lot of young, new talent making their way into the education system. Students are so compelled by them that they’ve taken to snapping their pictures during lessons. Who can blame them? We’d have learned a lot more if these people were our teachers back in school.

There are a lot of schools in the United States. More than 130,000, actually. When you add to that the thousands of colleges across the 50 states, that’s several million positions filled up by teachers. Wouldn’t it be great if all those jobs were taken up by people who wanted to be there? It would certainly make school a much more exciting experience. You’d never have any teachers shouting at you for no reason and making you do the most boring work imaginable. Then again, if it weren’t for these killjoys, the fun teachers probably wouldn’t have quite the same impact as they do now. We can’t have our cake and eat it too, unfortunately.

So, we have to suffer through the bad to get the good. If only those boring teachers didn’t gravitate to all the subjects that are difficult to get our heads around in the first place, like math and science. It’s like someone puts out an alert to ensure that students suffer through all these complex lessons as much as possible. Luckily, not every teacher for these subjects enjoys sending classes off to sleep. You’ll find some science and math teachers here who definitely know how to keep their students awake. Not just in those subjects, either. There’s a fun teacher for everything nowadays, even for lessons that aren’t on the curriculum. Now that’s thinking outside the box.

Do you wish you could relive your school experience with teachers like this? Sure, education is still hard, and the routine of going to school every day is draining, but these teachers would definitely make it worthwhile.
