Do you have a sibling at home? We might not be able to choose our family, but somehow it still often feels as though there is this unbreakable bond between us. It’s a love like no other in the world; a need to protect the other from any danger. So imagine if you are a twin or even a triplet? These individuals get to grow up with someone by their side from day one. Before even entering the world they are creating an everlasting bond, but did you know there are multiple types of twins? Identical twins have the same genes, and look exactly the same as their sibling. However, fraternal twins are just like any other siblings in the world; only they share the same birthday. Although many of us might not be able to imagine growing up without our siblings, these identical triplets were about to learn the real reason they were separated at birth. Twins have always been a favorite topic for many. After all, if you haven’t got one, how can you imagine growing up with someone permanently by your side? Perhaps it’s no wonder that so many movies have followed the lives of twins over the years. Just take the rom-com The Parent Trap. Back in 1998, we got to see little Lindsay Lohan as she discovered she had an identical twin sister this entire time. So what happens when the pair decide to swap lives and trick their parents? Surely nothing could go wrong? In 1988 we got to see the story of Julius and Vincent Benedict in the comedy movie Twins. The pair have been separated at birth and have grown up to become the polar opposite of each other. However, they soon learn they have been part of an experiment. Will they ever be able to get over the life-changing news?

Although twins being separated has made for some gripping and thrilling storylines over the years, sometimes we don’t need the big screen to see how the story will unfold. In fact, these identical triplets were living through a scene straight from the movies. They might have grown up separately, but they were about to find out there was an entire part of their lives missing. Only, it wasn’t their missing siblings that got them all wondering; it was the reason they were separated. In the films, it’s often parents splitting up or a mix up at the adoption that leaves one sibling without the other. Perhaps this could still be the case for their real-life story? The movies often have happy endings. Hopefully, these identical triplets would be able to find a light at the end of their tunnel as they searched for answers they had needed for years.
