In the world of entertainment (and in general) it is no longer a taboo issue for older men to date and marry much younger women. This list of famous men who married much younger women is a testament to how mainstream it has become to act as though age is just a number and there is no such thing as ageism in love. We salute these men and women for looking past social norms and decide for themselves who they want to be with. We can only hope that the women don’t have ulterior motives and that the men want more than arm candy at the end of the day. Some of these couples have been married for longer than you’ve been alive, and in doing so, they are restoring our faith in love.
Jerry Seinfeld, famous for being the star of the show, well, Seinfeld, had audiences laugh out loud to his comedy skits and have their eyes glued to the screen on the show. Jerry married Jessica Sklar in 1999 when he was 45 years old and she was 28. Jerry had always had an eye for younger women as he was previously linked to a 17-year-old student when he was 30 years old. Jerry and Jessica are still married today and have one daughter and two sons together.
Funnyman Steve Martin is well-known for his roles in films like It’s Complicated, Cheaper by the Dozen, and Father of the Bride. However, he is on this list for his second marriage to Anne Stringfield. Steve was 62 when he married Anne, who was 36 at the time of their wedding. Steve and Anne are still married and have one child together. Steve became a dad quite late in life when you think about it, but we are sure he is amazing at the job.
Harrison Ford met Calista Flockhart on the red carpet of the 2002 Golden Globe Awards. They began dating when Harrison was 60 and Calista was 38, at the time it was a big to do! They finally married in 2010 and adopted their only son, Liam. Flockhart and Ford are still happily married, which is a good thing since it’s Harrison’s third marriage. The two are often seen together on red carpets and Hollywood events.
Alec Baldwin needs no introduction. He was previously married to model and actress Kim Basinger, with whom he has a daughter, Ireland. These days he is remarried to yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas (they married in 2011). Wasting no time whatsoever, the couple went about have three back to back children. When the two married, Alec was 53 and Hilaria 27! They are still married today and seem to be taking a break from having any more children.
Paul McCartney, one of the founding members of The Beatles and legendary musician, as a result, has been married three times in his life. His first marriage was to what some would say was the love of his life who sadly passed away, his second one a mistake that ended badly and the third one the charm. Paul married Nancy Shevell in 2011 when he was 69 years old and she was 51. While still late in life, that’s quite an age gap nonetheless.
Clint Eastwood was married a few times and almost always was the case where he was the much older party involved. This was also the case in Clint’s marriage to Dina Ruiz. Clint married Dina in 1996 when he was 66 years old and she was 31. The couple has one daughter together (to add to Clint’s many other children) but sadly decided to divorce in 2013. Clint has since moved on with another young woman but has yet to marry again. We are surely keeping a close eye on him though.
Businessman and one of the wealthiest men in the world, Rupert Murdoch, was married twice before his marriage to then 30-year-old Wendy Deng in 1999. Rupert was 68 when he married Deng. The two were married until 2013 when Murdoch filed for divorce. He later remarried to former model Jerry Hall! He must be as charismatic in his romances as he is in the boardroom or else he wouldn’t be married to many times.
Actor and producer Sylvester Stallone is known for his roles in Rocky, Rambo, Cliffhanger and The Expendables. He is also known for marrying a stunning model 22 years his junior. Stallone married Jennifer Flavin back in 1997 when he was 51 years old and she was 29. Today, they are still married and are the proud parents of three daughters – Sophia, Sistene, and Scarlet. This is Stallone’s third marriage.
For the longest time, Kelsey was married to Camille Donatacci. They ended their marriage in 2011 in one of the nastiest divorces to hit Hollywood in a very long time. Kelsey went on to marry Kayte Walsh that very year when he was 56 and she was 31. They are still married today and have three children together (to add to Kelsey’s other three children and one grandchild).
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have a sort of fairytale romance going on, truly transitioning beyond the age gap between them. Michael was 56 years old and Catherine just 31 years old when they married in 2000. The two are still married today and have two children together. Catherine has stuck by Michael’s side throughout bouts of illness and a lot of media spotlight.
Warren Beatty, actor and romancer for days, has been married to actress Annette Bening since 1992 and the pair is still going strong (an eternity in Hollywood for anyone who knows). Warren was 55 years old and Bening 34 when they married. Back in the day, there were those who were convinced that Warren and Annette weren’t going to go the distance because of Warren’s romancer reputation, we are happy to report that they have beat the statistics.
William Shatner, known for playing Captain James T. Kirk in the Star Trek franchise. He has also been in several films and television shows like Miss Congeniality, Osmosis Jones, and Dodgeball. Shatner has been married three times, his latest marriage to Elizabeth Anderson occurred in 2001 when Shatner was 70 years old and Elizabeth was 40. The two are still married today. So we understand that the fourth time’s the charm?
Casablanca star and Hollywood icon Humphrey Bogart married fellow actress Lauren Bacall in 1945 when he was 45 and she was just 20 years old. Granted the 40s were a different time, a simpler time, but it’s still amazing that with a 25 years age gap and Bacall being 20 years old, the two were married until Bogart’s death in 1957. We will always have The Maltese Falcon and The Big Sleep.
Kevin Costner may be in his 60 but he certainly doesn’t look or act it, which explains the fact that he has a much younger wife. Back in 2004 when Kevin married Christine Baumgartner, he was 49 years old and she was 27! They have three children together, born in 2007, 2009 and 2010, respectively. This makes the total of children for Kostner stand at a whopping 7.
Late actor Alan Thicke, who was taken too soon from us, was married three times during his life. His first marriage produced his well-known son Robin Thicke. The couple was married until Alan’s death in 2016.
Musician Billy Joel was once married to Christy Brinkley, they were everything to us, but alas they didn’t make it and they also didn’t have such an age gap between them so they didn’t make this list. However, Billy and his third wife, Katie Lee fit perfectly into our criteria. Billy was 55 and Katie was 23 when they married in 2004. The couple was married until 2010 when they each filed for divorce.
A rocket like Rod Stewart was bound to be on this list. Stewart has been married three times but has been linked with many more women than three, that’s for sure! Stewart’s second marriage to model Rachel Hunter is the one we are focusing on. Rod was 45 when he married Hunter in 1990, she was just 20 years old. They didn’t end up making it and divorced in 2006 (after having two children together). He is now remarried to yet another young women, Penny Lancaster. Rod was 62 and Penny was 35 when they married. We’re sensing a pattern here.
English actor John Cleese has been married several times in his life. His latest marriage, though, seems to finally be The One. Cleese married Jennifer Wade in 2012. Cleese was 73, Wade was 42. Cleese is known for his roles in A Fish Called Wanda, Life of Brian, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. We wish this adorable duo many more years of wedded bliss!
Renowned musician Eric Clapton married Melia McEnery in 2001. Clapton was 51 and McEnery was 24. They totally work together, though, as they are still happily married and have three beautiful daughters together. Clapton has an older daughter from an affair with his former manager in the mid-80s. Clapton has been in films as well as produced music that has changed the face of a generation.
Musician Bing Crosby was married twice in his life. His first marriage ended when his wife sadly passed away from cancer in 1952, and his second marriage to Kathryn Grant occurred in 1957 when he was 57 and she was 24 years old. The couple was married until Bing passed away in 1977. Bing and Kathryn had three children together, adding to the four children Bing had with his first wife.
Trying to keep it all in the family (we do have Woody Allen on here and now we have Mia Farrow as well!), Frank Sinatra was married to actress Mia Farrow for two years back in the 60s. Sinatra was 51 years old and Farrow was just 21 years old when the two married back in 1966. The reason these two didn’t get along was because Frank didn’t want Mia performing in the film Rosemary’s Baby. Luckily she didn’t listen to him or else her career would have never been the same.
Actor Robert Duvall is known for his roles in films like The Godfather, Deep Impact, and Apocalypse Now. He is on this list, however, due to the fact that he married Luciana Pedraza in 2005 when he was 74 years old and she was just 33. Somehow they make it work, though, as they are still married today and are showing no sign of trouble.
The late and legendary politician Nelson Mandela was also a man who fell in love with a MUCH younger woman when he was pretty late into his own life. Mandela married Graça Machel back in 1998 when he was 80 years old and she was 53. While that is late in life for sure, it still is quite an age gap. This was Mandela’s third and final marriage, the two remained married until Mandela passed away in 2013.
Legendary television and radio host Larry King is known for being spot on when it comes to delivering news and opinion pieces on his respective shows. Larry is also known as a guy who married way younger than him. King married Shawn Southwick in 1997 when he was 64 years old and she was 38. Hopkins is most well remembered for his starring roles in The Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon, Hannibal and The Elephant Man.

Knight was 47 and Curry was 24. The marriage ended up imploding in 2012 with both parties filing for divorce. Luckily, there were no children involved in their explosive relationship.
Olivier Sarkozy, also known as the half-brother of the former President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy, is a banker, but more importantly, he is also the much older husband of Mary-Kate Olsen. Olivier was married once for several years and had two children, he then met and married actress and fashion designer, MK in 2015 when she was 28 and he was 45. Her fans weren’t very happy about her marriage to a much older guy, but MK made it very obvious that she is very happy with her choices.
It wouldn’t be a list about men who married much younger women without including Woody Allen and his subsequent marriage to his adopted daughter, Soon-Yi Previn. The duo started dating in 1991 when Allen was 56 and Previn was 19! Allen and Previn married in 1997 and have been married ever since. They have two adopted daughters as well, Bechet and Manzie. Needless to say, ex-wife Mia Farrow (Soon-Yi’s mother) was no at the wedding.
While Woody Allen gets 100% on the weird factor, Hugh Hefner wins the age gap for sure! The founder of Playboy was 86 years old when he FINALLY married again (he’s always had a ton of girlfriends but there was a long gap between his second and third marriages). His new bride, Crystal Harris, was 26 years old when the two tied the knot back in 2012. Count it. Go ahead. That’s a 60 YEAR age gap.
Lee Majors, actor and playboy extraordinaire, has been married four times in his life (his second marriage being to Farrah Fawcett!). The couple has no children as of yet, but you never know!
The 56-year-old actor, who has been known as Hollywood’s ultimate and ever-lasting bachelor, found the love of his life when he was 52. The sophisticated and good looking couple welcomed their twins to the world recently just in time for Father’s Day. Clooney is 17 years older than his human rights lawyer wife, but that doesn’t seem to be a problem at all for the photogenic couple who tied the knot in the most lavish Italian wedding in 2014.
The legendary rock star who is mostly famous for being a member of The Rolling Stones married Sally Humphreys after only six months of dating and with an age difference of 31 years. Humphreys owns a theater production company. When Sally gave birth to the couple’s twin daughters in may 2016, she turned the artist to a father of six. Ronnie loves being a dad at the age of 70 and it seems like it’s only making him younger.
The 62-year-old actor, who has been married to actress Demi Moore for 13 years, managed to find love again when he married British model, Emma Heming in 2009. The couple has a 24-year age difference and they have two daughters. Bruce is already the father of three daughters from his marriage to Demi. He probably loves celebrating Father’s Day! Bruce and Emma married in an intimate ceremony in Turks and Caicos and is still very close to his ex-wife, who even attended his second wedding.
The famous Canadian talent manager and musical producer who sadly passed away earlier this year, married his third wife, legendary French-Canadian singer, Celine Dion in 1994. The two met when the singer was just 12 years old. He had received a tape of her singing and he soon became her manager. Their 24 year age difference didn’t stop the two from leading a successful life together both musically and personally. Their lavish wedding was even broadcast on television.
They might not be officially married, but the funny actor and the Australian model don’t need a certificate to prove their love for each other and their adorable one year old daughter. The Australia native and Murphy have been together since 2012. While there are no rumors of wedding bells any time soon, we sure hope they will expand their stunning interracial family soon. They have a 19 year age gap which is pretty incredible.
The Jurassic Park actor who has tons of films under his belt, found love for the third time when he was 61 years old. After he had been married twice in the past, Goldblum married Olymic gymnast, Emilie Livingston in 2014. Livingston is 30 years junior to the 64-year-old actor. Their second son was born in April, 2017. Unlike his first two marriages that were fairly close, his third marriage happened fourteen years after he divorced his second wife, Geena Davis.
Dick Van Dyke
He is 91 years old and he is unstoppable. Van Dyke is one multi-talented man. He acts, sings, dances and performs everywhere. The actor rose to fame when he starred in The Dick Van Dyke show that ran throughout the 60’s and later when he starred in films on the big screen. He has been married once and was in a long-term relationship with in the past, but it was make-up-artist, Arlene Silver who stole his heart. She was 40 and he was 86 when the two tied the know in 2012.

The Green Mile actor married his third wife, reality star and model, Courtney Alexis Stodden back in 2011. It’s safe to say that their relationship drew a lot of attention when Stodden was only 16 years old when the couple said their ‘I Do’s’ and the actor was 50. If you do the math, that’s 34 years. The couple met as an acting class when Hutchison was the teacher and Courtney was the student. The relationship was a big source for debate and they received a lot of criticism for being together. They even appeared on Couple’s Therapy at one point.
Appearing twice on our list for marrying a much younger woman is quite impressive we have to admit. The wealthy media mogul who was married to Wendy Deng in the past, married his fourth wife, former model, Jerry Hall. Hall, who was famously married to rock star, Mick Jagger when she was younger, and Murdoch, tied the knot in 2016 just before he turned 85. She was 59 years old when they said their vows. Hall is the mother of successful British model, Georgia May Jagger, who attended her mother’s wedding.
Actor Jason Statham, known for roles in films such as Revolver, The Expendables, and The Fast and Furious franchise is 49 years old. While he doesn’t look a day over 39 at the most, his stunning fiance, model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, is 30 years old; 19 years his junior. The two have been engaged since January of 2016 and are currently expecting their first child together this year. That genetically gifted spawn is one lucky child!
