Celebrities who were homecoming queens and kings in high school

We all love watching our favorite celebrities, and not only on TV or in movies, but also follow their real lives. We like watching them give interviews and tell about their personal lives, we root for their relationships to work, and mostly, we enjoy getting all the little details about them.

Our fascination with celebrities doesn’t only stem from the fact that they’re rich, famous, or good looking. But we’d like to believe that the persona they present in public is true to their real character. Wouldn’t it be amazing if Meryl Streep was actually as amazingly nice in real life as she seems? (Don’t worry, she probably is).

Of course, when the spotlight is aimed directly at you, you usually have to be on your best behavior. When you’re famous, you need to know how to carry yourself in public, how to speak without sounding like an idiot or spitting out the wrong things, and how to look like the most glamorous version of yourself. That’s why it’s hard to tell whether these celebrities that we adore so much, are really as perfect as they seem.

So when these celebrities confess about the complications of their lives – about their rough childhoods, about how they were bullied in high school, or about the difficulties they went through when pursuing their careers – we can’t help but admire them even more. That’s when we realize that they’re just like us, human with flaws and all that.

And not only are they wonderfully human, but they’ve managed to overcome all obstacles and become as amazing as they are today. This gives us hope that maybe someday we’ll be able to fulfill our biggest dreams, no matter who we were in the past. When you’re in high school, it’s especially significant to know that someone was previously in the same situation that you’re in, and has succeeded to rise above it all.

On the other hand, some celebrities were just as beloved in high school as they are now. They were popular, they were beautiful, and they were awesome even back then. Although we’re sure all of these people have gone through some difficulties in their lives (who doesn’t?), it’s still amazing to see how they attracted people’s attention right from the get go. All eyes were on them, even before they were made famous – which just goes to show that they were made for stardom.

These pictures of celebrities who were elected homecoming queens and kings, prove that these people always had it in them. People loved them then, and they love them even more now that they’re rocking it in their careers.
