We come across many obstacles in life. Whether it has something to do with our careers, our families, and even health issues – there are always things to overcome. But these obstacles are also a way for us to find our real strength, one that we may not have found otherwise. In life, you take the good along with the bad, you can’t separate the two. And just when we think we might give up, we find that we can do incredible things when we set our minds to it.
Ben Baltz learned that he was suffering from a life threatening desease when he was very young. The news was certainly devastating to his family, as well as Ben – who hadn’t even heard of the illness due to his young age. And when doctors said they had to remove his leg, things seemed uncertain. But the little boy himself was certain of what he was going to do. He wasn’t giving up, but facing the obstacles and moving forward. He learned to run on his prosthetic, but when it broke during a triathlon, one Marine stepped up and did something incredible…
