Best online shopping sites

In this day and age, we’re so caught up in the stress and schedule of our busy 9-5 jobs that we struggle to find time for ourselves – and if we do, we normally curl up on the couch with a bag of popcorn in hand, binge-watching the latest Netflix release (come on, you can admit it). However, this often means we have little time to go shopping, whether that’s for clothes (let’s be honest, even if we go grocery shopping we end up buying clothes), furniture, books or anything else you could possibly need. Thankfully, the beautiful internet exists, meaning we can simply log on to our computers, pop in our card details and buy our goods. The best part? We don’t have to leave our house or change out of our pajamas!

Amazon

If you don’t know the story of Amazon…sit back, relax and enjoy the show. Amazon was founded in 1994 and was primarily an online bookstore (and we all know there’s nothing better than a bookstore). The company soon embraced its success and began to sell everything from clothes to electronics, jewelry, toys, furniture and more. More often than not, you can find anything you could possibly want on Amazon, and if you have Amazon Prime, you can get it the next day.

eBay

eBay is one of those websites that simple crawled out of the woodworks in 1995 and has since taken over the world. eBay is one of those websites that allow you to buy everything and anything. Want to buy an exact replica of the T-Rex from Jurassic Park? You can probably find it on eBay. Want to buy a vintage wedding dress? Yep, you’ll find loads. eBay is an epic online community that sees a whopping 124 million users each year. Because of this, the produce is varied and unique. But don’t worry, many commercial shops also have an eBay account, so you can also buy your normal, everyday items.

Mr. Porter

Sorry ladies, this one isn’t for you. Mr. Porter is an online Men’s retail store that offers men the chance to shop leading brands and styles under one roof (or website). The concept is relatively new, as the brand was only established in 2011. Since then, it has become internationally recognized for sourcing some of the most fashionable, on-trend, and epic brands in the world – all with free delivery and free returns. You know what this means? You can order hundreds of dollars worth of clothes with the pretense that some of them won’t fit – and then realize that they all fit and you have an awesome new wardrobe (and a slightly sore bank account).

ModCloth

Men; now it’s your turn to skedaddle. ModCloth is an online ladies clothing retailer that specializes in vintage and indie clothing – so you can expect Peter Pan collars, dungarees, and quirky prints (just how we like it). The retailer was established in 2002 and has since developed a huge brand that gives women across the world the chance to embrace their wacky side and avoid commercial clothing brands. What more could you want?

Zappos

If you’re a lover of shoes (which is everyone, right?), you’ll love Zappos. Since 1999, Zappos has continued to take over the world of shoes to become one of the leading online shoe stores. The retailer sells nearly every brand of shoe available and ensures that they are well stocked in every possible shoe size. This, along with their quick delivery turnaround, is why they have quickly dominated the shoe market – both in stores and online.

Are you looking to do a bit of retail therapy but can’t be bothered to leave the house? Well, thank goodness for online shopping…
